Obscura Tower |
My first year at The University of Greenwich provided an introduction to basic concepts and history of architecture. I utilised my existing drawing, modelling and photoshop skills to develop the following project 'Obscura Tower'. This was an individual project where I attained a first for design. I also participated in group projects and developed my technical drawing skills. Overall, for Year 1 I gained a high 2:1.
This Project follows the idea of bringing the countryside into London through the use of camera obscuras. The Obscura Tower also features a public climbing wall on the exterior, while the interior is the private residence of someone wishing to escape the chaotic city of London. I experimented using models to explore the form and function of my building, to generate a more considered output. The above demonstrate a range of exploratory models, final drawings and concept images to portray the functionality and purpose of my building.
